Cat Flea treatment

My wife has worked as a registered Vet Tech for 30 years. We recently treated our cats with Frontline It did not seem to have any effect. So we waited prescribed time went back to vet and got Advanatge and treated our cat with the most flea problems. And he had a adverse reaction got lethargic Sneezing and droopy eyed.

My question would be is there any traceability on product control and Quality??

By Lot by date code. Are conterfeits entering the product supply lines from manufacturer to Distributor or dealer Vet store( placebos or poor imitation with counterfeit logos and packing)??

Is the FDA performing random testing of lots supplied thru various channels??

Are drugs being manuafactured within allowable or acceptable tolerances ? What is the Industry doing to keep the public informed of there Excellent efforts in preventing these
