Litter Boxes

Our two cats have tried several models of litter boxes, except the electronic ones. The two that have been a hit are the jumbo litter box with a hood and, believe it or not, a plastic bin.

The bin was ideal, because it kept everything inside the box. Living in a condo, we don't have a large enough space so we had to downsize to a jumbo litter box.

The key to keeping the odor under control was to remove the filter and cut open the slots where the filter go. This provides better ventilation. We removed the filter, because they are easy to forget. After a while they no longer serve their purpose. There is nothing like fresh air circulating to keep the odors under control. That and cleaning the litter daily.
