This brand (or any other self cleaning box) may be good if you only have one cat. I have 2, one of which is diabetic. I spend more time cleaning out this box than I did when I had a regular cat box. Especially with a diabetic cat who tends to urinate more frequently. I've even tried different brands of litter in hopes that it would work properly...no such luck! I know cleaning the cat box sucks but when you're a cat lover you just do what you have to. It's the same responsibility that comes with any pet. Next I may try a regular cat box with litter called Yesterday's News. It's recycled newspaper, and supposed to work well. We'll see!
