Meet the Artist
Ohio-based artist Shirley Kaye Sanders has been a national galleried artist for 13 years. She opened the Glory House of Glass in 1977 to make and distribute
her own line of hand-made glass jewelry and specialty items ... with a "flair".
Shirley grew up on a small farm in Ohio. As a small child, she saw a glass blowing demonstration on TV and she was hooked. Fascinated by the process that turned a
liquid into a solid form, Shirley knew from that day on that she wanted to be a glass artist. Her parents taught her that she could achieve any goal through
hard work and perseverance. So, with a creative family behind her, nurturing her and encouraging her to express her talent, Shirley began her own creative journey.
In 1992, she moved to California where she enrolled in college to study the art of glass blowing. Today, back in her home state of Ohio, she is a galleried artist
whose designs are copyrighted and sold as collectibles throughout the United States.
Shirley built Glory House of Glass with a mission to give back to her community. She donates 10% of all sales to a local family outreach program.
